To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

MY ANSWERS:

The Silkworm
I am currently reading The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith aka JK Rowling. It is the second book in her series with a detective known as Cormoron Strike. I really enjoyed the first one The Cuckoo’s Calling. Completely different than her Harry Potter series but entertaining.

The Unlikely Spy
I just finished reading The Unlikely Spy by Daniel Silva. It was about espionage during WWII and D-Day at Normandy. Well written and very intriguing. I have never read anything by him before but I am going to start his Gabriel Allon series soon.

Love in the Time of CholeraI believe the next book I will read will be Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez. I recently read an awesome review and thought it would be a great book to increase my repertoire of genre.

      • I’ve also had one of my medications changed – one that is physically addictive – so am a little off par at the moment as well with my body coming to terms that this powerful drug is no longer being thrown into my body

  1. I just picked up The Cuckoo’s Calling from the bookstore, I’m so excited to read it, I’ve heard lots of good things. I really need to add some Gabriel Garcia Marquez books to my to-read Goodreads shelf! I don’t know much about Daniel Silva, but you make The Unlikely Spy sound like a great read, so maybe I’ll pick that one up in the future 🙂 Here is my WWW: http://heartofsultana.com/2014/06/25/www-wednesday-6-25-14/

    • Thanks Sultana!!! LOVE your page!!! The Unlikely Spy was similar to a Clancy book. Lots and lots of details and about espionage and war. I didn’t think I would like it, but I was pleasantly surprised. I have a tendency to get bored with (what I consider) unnecessary details. But Silva keeps the story interesting. I will do a little review when I read The Kill Artist Book 1 of Gabriel Allon 🙂

    • OOOOo…what do you think of “S”?? I have that book and I so need to read it. Maybe I will after the Love in the Time of Cholera. A friend of mine told me about “S” and I HAD to get a copy of it. I can’t wait because of all the stuff that is stuck in it! 🙂

      • I know!!!! It’s really good, it’s interesting because it’s not like reading a book normally is… like, you’re caught up in all aspects of the story but it’s engaging a different part of your brain. It’s more like carrying on a conversation over a span of weeks or something. My brother got it for me for Christmas and it took me a while to begin but I’m enjoying taking my time with it…. turning to a page with a new “clue” is always a treat 🙂
