The Wreck of the Roomba….

Flash Fiction
“You broke it! I’m tellin’ mom!” Tori said.

“Shhhh…be quiet! It’s not broke. It’s just upside down!” Felicity shushed her sister.

“Nu uh! Look at the arm thingy. It’s BROKE! MOM!” Tori began to scramble to feet to find their mother. Felicity never did anything wrong and this was finally her chance to get big sister in trouble!

“If you don’t knock it off, I’m tellin’ mom about the CAT!” Felicity said as she grabbed Tori’s ankle and made her sit on the floor. Tori crossed her arms in a huff.

Felicity had been playing with the remote controlled robotic vacuum cleaner and chasing her little sister around the room to make her squeal. When it hit the wall, the thing flipped over on its back and looked like a turtle trying to right itself. The wheels were still turning and then the arm thing-a-ma-jig sprang out and it quit moving!

In a total panic the older sister flipped it back over and tried turning it back on. No go….the thing was shot and she knew her goose was cooked.

“Now how do I find a way to hook THIS one on the little sister? I always have a plan….”

Sunday Photo Fiction is a weekly Flash Fiction prompt based on the photo supplied. The idea is to write a piece of fiction of around 100-200 words (usually called flash fiction) If you wish to take part, then click on the link and give it a try! 🙂
